Tejas

Dense, unshowy writing about work, money and the middle distance of a mid-sized city.

Tejas raps about the specific rather than the general — commutes, rent, the particular boredom of a Tuesday. He writes long, edits hard, and delivers with the flat conviction of someone reading from notes he trusts.

He came up through Pune's open-mic circuit and still tests material there before recording it, which is why his verses arrive fully formed.

His debut album for the label was recorded over eleven days with KSHAH producing.
